Mounds View City Council May 11, 2009 <br />Regular Meeting Page 6 <br />Council Member Mueller recognized Boy Scouts who earned Eagle Awards this spring and <br />encouraged Scouts to contact the City if they are looking for an Eagle project. <br />Council Member Mueller referenced an April 28, 2009, article entitled Long May You Run and <br />that one of the people mentioned is a Festival in the Park sponsor. Council Member Mueller <br />announced activities that will take place on Aviation Days, May 16 and 17, 2009. <br />B. Reports of Staff. <br />1. Community Development Department First Quarter Report. <br />Community Development Director Roberts presented the Community Development Department <br />first quarter report. He advised that the first outside sales event was held at Roberts last weekend <br />and the May 12, 2009, Housing Resource Seminar was canceled and will be rescheduled in the <br />fall. <br />Council Member Stigney asked about Case CE09-21, Commercial Vehicle Design. Community <br />Development Director Roberts stated he is unsure and will report back to the Council. <br />Community Development Director Roberts stated staff is pleased with the new Code <br />Enforcement software, which has been very efficient. <br />Mayor Flaherty thanked staff for the thorough report and asked residents to alert staff should they <br />notice a Code violation. <br />Clerk-Administrator Ericson reported the Spring Clean Up event last Saturday was well attended. <br />He stated staff will look at the timing of the event and how it can be more efficiently executed. <br />C. Reports of City Attorney. <br />Noted. <br />12. Next Council Work Session: <br />Next Council Meeting: <br />Monday, June 1, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. <br />Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. <br />13.
