Mounds View City Council August 24, 2009 <br />Regular Meeting Page 10 <br />• paid by the City to remain the same. He stated staff analyzed the retainer fee and found the City <br />has not been utilizing as much in legal services so the monthly retainer will be reduced to $2,300 <br />per month. The retainer will be re-evaluated should additional services be required by the City. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Stigney. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7489, <br />Approving the Renewal of a Legal Services Agreement with Kennedy & Graven, Chartered. <br />Council Member Stigney stated Mr. Riggs and Kennedy & Graven have served the City well and <br />he appreciates the reduced retainer fee. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />City Attorney Riggs thanked the Council for its confidence and stated he and his firm enjoy its <br />working relationship with the City of Mounds View. <br />8. CONSENT AGENDA <br />Mayor Flaherty asked to remove Item C. <br />A. Licenses for Approval. <br />B. Resolution 7487, Approving the Mounds View Cable Committee By-laws. <br />• <br />MOTION/SECOND: Gunn/Mueller. To Approve the Consent Agenda Items A and B. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />C. Resolution 7491, Accepting a Donation from Bethlehem Baptist Church. <br />Clerk-Administrator Ericson explained this $13,801 donation is the second half for 2009 as a <br />result of a meeting with Church representatives. Mayor Flaherty read the list of the Church's <br />recommendation for use of this donation. <br />Council Members Gunn and Mueller stated their support for the recommended recipients. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Adopt Resolution 7491, <br />Accepting a Donation from Bethlehem Baptist Church. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />9. JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS <br />. MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Gunn. To Approve the Just and Correct Claims as Presented. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />
