Mounds View City Council August 24, 2009 Regular Meeting Page 11 L' 10. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A. July 27, 2009 City Council Meeting Minutes. MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Approve the July 27, 2009 City Council Meeting Minutes as Previously Amended. Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. 11. REPORTS A. Reports of Mayor and Council. Council Member Mueller stated Festival in the Park benefited from fabulous weather and a great turnout. She thanked all. who participated and read the trophy recipients and sponsors of the Festival in the Park Car and Tractor Show. Council Member Gunn agreed the Festival in the Park was a great day and thanked volunteers and Public Works employees. Mayor Flaherty thanked Clerk-Administrator Ericson and Assistant Clerk-Administrator Crane for their work at the Festival. He also thanked Cub Scout Pack 167 for helping with the parade • and serving as the Color Guard. B. Reports of Staff. Clerk-Administrator Ericson thanked volunteers and staff who helped with the Festival in the Park to assure it was a great event. He also thanked Assistant Clerk-Administrator Crane for acting as the City's "point person" to answer questions and resolve issues. 1. Announce the City Council /Staff Retreat Scheduled for Monday, August 31, 2009. Clerk-Administrator Ericson reminded the Council of the upcoming Council/staff retreat scheduled for August 31, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Following discussion, Council consensus was to hold the retreat in the Council Chambers since the conference room may not be large enough to house residents. 2. Discuss Airport Advisory Commission Vacancy. The Council discussed the vacancy on the Airport Advisory Commission as a result of David Jahnke's passing. Following discussion, Council consensus was reached to direct staff to draft a resolution to appoint Clerk-Administrator Ericson to the vacancy and reappoint Barbara Haake to . another term on the Airport Advisory Commission.
