Mounds View City Council January 9, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting Page 7 <br />• Approving the Plans and Specifications and Authorizing the Advertisement for Bids and Setting <br />a Bid Date for the Random Park Building Replacement Project. <br />Councilmember Flaherty asked how much the savings would be if the walls were not removed. <br />Public Works Director Lee stated it would have cost $17,500 to remove all of the walls and <br />electrical but the recommendation is to not remove the office walls. <br />Councilmember Flaherty asked when that dollar amount will be known. Public Works Director <br />Lee stated it may be known tomorrow. <br />Councilmember Stigney asked Building Official Osmonson what is the door width to meet ADA <br />requirements. Building Official Osmonson stated she will provide that information to Public <br />Works Director Lee. <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />F. Resolution 6710 Appointing City Council Members and City Staff as <br />Representatives for City Commissions and other organizations <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Crane explained that the Council annually reviews the <br />various Council and staff appointments. She noted the addition of the Community Center Task <br />• Force which has six members including Councilmember Thomas, Planning Commission Chair <br />Stevenson, Parks and Recreation Commissioner Shari Kunza and three Mounds View residents; <br />Duane McCarty, Rob Hanson, and Kara Chamberland. <br />City Administrator Ulrich noted the original committee called for the appointment of two <br />Mounds View residents on the Community Center Task Force. However, three residents have <br />submitted their names for consideration: Duane McCarty, Rob Hanson and Kara Chamberland. <br />City Administrator Ulrich advised that the YMCA Advisory Committee met today and <br />recommended Mr. Hanson and Ms. Chamberland given their involvement with the park and <br />recreation programs of the City. Staff recommends all six members identified be appointed and <br />the Community Center Task Force be expanded by one member to bring their number to seven. <br />The Council discussed the list of committees and 2005 liaisons. Consensus was reached on the <br />following appointments: <br />Ramse~Coun League of Local Government: Councilmember Flaherty and City Administrator <br />Ulrich <br />Springy Lake ParkBlaine/Mounds View Fireman's Relief Association: Councilmember Stigney <br />and City Administrator Ulrich <br />Human Resources Committee: Councilmembers Flaherty and Stigney, and City Administrator <br />.
