Mounds View City Council March 13, 2006 <br />Regular Meeting Page 21 <br />• Councilmember Stigney asked about the units used at the golf course. Supervisor of Parks <br />Department Dazenski stated the largest umt the golf course had was a 10 foot mower, and that <br />was kept as a backup mower in case of a growth spurt or breakdown of the main mower. He <br />noted that two mowers from the golf course were auctioned off. <br />Mayor Marty stated he likes the features on the new mower. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />K. Resolution 6772 Accepting Ramsey County Ezcess Right-of--Way. <br />Director Ericson explained Staff facilitated a discussion with Ramsey County regarding remnant <br />Long Lake Road right-of--way that bisects the SYSCO area. He stated the right-of--way is not in <br />use for its intended purpose and Ramsey County has no plans for the right-of--way. <br />Director Ericson stated that the City gave SYSCO direction to work with Ramsey County to <br />determine if the excess right-of--way could be vacated. He indicated that Ramsey County adopted <br />a Resolution which released the excess right-of--way to the City of Mounds View. He stated the <br />City should adopt a Resolution accepting this so it may in turn vacate same to SYSCO, as the <br />City has no plans for the right-of--way. <br />Director Ericson explained an ordinance must also be passed in order to vacate any interest in <br />land. He explained SYSCO is aware of Ramsey County's plans. He explained 16,000 square feet <br />of land would be brought back on to the tax rolls. <br />Director Ericson explained there are utilities present in the right of way that would remain <br />protected by an easement dedicated as part of the SYSCO Minnesota Second Addition Plat that <br />would need to come back to the City Council for final plat approval. <br />Director Ericson offered to answer questions. <br />MOTION/SECOND: THOMAS/STIGNEY. To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 6772 <br />Accepting Ramsey County Excess Right-of--Way. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />L.
