Resolution 6786 Approving the Preliminary Feasibility Report, Waiving <br />Public Improvement Hearing, Holding a Public Informational Meeting, <br />Ordering the Project, and Authorizing the Preparation of Plans and <br />Specifications for the Hidden Hollow South Street and Utility Installation <br />Project. <br />Director of Public Works Lee explained this is for utility extensions for six lots on Hidden <br />Hollow South Street. He stated the estimated cost of the improvement is $150,000, and all costs <br />will be borne by the developer except for the trail extension, which is $4,200 that will be <br />assigned to the City's water and sanitary sewer budget. <br />Mayor Marty asked what the purpose is of having a public information hearing after the project <br />has already been ordered. <br />Director of Public Works Lee stated public input is usually received on the same night that the <br />City Council takes action on an item. <br />Councilmember Thomas stated lots of input has already been received from the neighborhood, <br />and the sooner the problems are fixed, the better. She stated the City should go ahead with this, <br />as the neighbors are well aware of the issue and they want to see it happen. <br />• <br />MOTION/SECOND: STIGNEY/THOMAS. To waive the reading and adopt Resolution 6786 <br />Approving the Preliminary Feasibility Report, Waiving Public Improvement Hearing, Holding a <br />Public Informational Meeting, Ordering the Project, and Authorizing the Preparation of Plans <br />and Specifications for the Hidden Hollow South Street and Utility Installation Project, as <br />amended. <br />Mayor Marty stated after hearing about the different kinds of fill that was put in over the last <br />several years, and after seeing the site and how much higher it was than other properties, he <br />indicated he would like to get the project going. He stated the feasibility report considers <br />grading, proposed infiltration basin, and existing swales, so there is some water control for the <br />area. He stated right now it is an accident waiting to happen. <br />Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />Councilmember Thomas asked when the date of the public informational hearing would be. <br />Director of Public Works Lee stated it would be in four to six weeks. <br />G. Resolution 6787 Authorization of the Execution of Easements Associated <br />with the County Road J Improvement Project. <br />Director of Public Works Lee explained that the County is requesting a ponding easement and a <br />temporary construction easement from the City. He commented that neither one of easements <br />will impact any future development of SYSCO Outlot A. <br />
