Council Member Stigney asked whether that would require voting staff and someone to oversee the voting. City Administrator Ulrich indicated that Staff would look into the specifics. Mayor Marty indicated that he is saddened to report that the citizen of the year this year, Mr. Frank Silvas, passed away Saturday night. The visitation is at Miller Funeral Home in Fridley and the funeral is scheduled for Wednesday morning at Cross of Glory. Mayor Marty indicated that his thoughts and prayers are with the family. B. Reports of Staff City Administrator Ulrich indicated that Staff has set a tentative joint work session with the City of New Brighton on December 18, 2006 if that works for Council. Mayor Marty indicated he was not sure of his schedule. • Council Member Gunn can attend. Council Member Thomas can attend. Council agreed to set the meeting for December 18, 2006. Council Member Flaherty suggested inviting the Council Members elect to the meeting so they would be up to speed. Mayor Marty asked Staff to invite the County Commissioners. City Administrator Ulrich indicated that the first meeting of 2007 would be January 8, 2007 and the work session would need to be rescheduled from January 1, 2007. Council agreed to reschedule the work session to January 2, 2007 with an official swearing in ceremony at 7:00 p.m. followed by the work session. City Administrator Ulrich noted that minutes from the performance review meeting will be available for the next meeting. 1. Finance • Finance Director Beer reviewed the Financial Report with Council.
