Mounds View City Council November 27, 2006
Regular Meeting Page 10
• Council Member Flaherty wanted this on public record to inform citizens of what is going on at
this location.
Director Ericson indicated that there is a lag time when municipalities acquire properties and the
City is responsible for the second half of the properly taxes for 2006. He then said that Staff did
not budget to acquire this property but it came up and was done by budget amendment and the
taxes need to be paid.
Director Ericson indicated that Staff is obtaining a study to show potential development
opportunities for this and the adjoining parcels and that will be before Council at the next
meeting for review of draft plans. He then said that a public hearing should be scheduled with
residents to discuss the preliminary plans for redevelopment of the area.
MOTION/SECOND: Flaherty/Gunn. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 6970,
Approving Payment of Second Half 2006 Property Taxes Due for 2390 County Road 10 and a
Corresponding Amendment to the 2006 TIF #1 Budget.
Ayes - 4 Nays - 0 Motion carried.
9. JUST AND CORRECT CLAIMS
• Mayor Marty requested information on Page 10 for mileage reimbursement of $35.00 because it
seems rather high.
City Administrator Ulrich indicated that most of the mileage was making multiple trips to
CTV15.
Mayor Many requested information on Page 11 for Used Oil Recovery because he thought the oil
went to fuel the furnaces at public works.
Public Works Director Lee explained that this is noted incorrectly because it was for the solvent
tank for the parts cleaner for periodic removal of the solvent.
Mayor Marty requested information on Page 12 for $487.50.
City Administrator Ulrich indicated it was for review of the Minimum Assessment Agreement
for the Medtronic Project.
Mayor Marty requested information on Page 13 for a flexible pipe camera.
Public Works Director Lee indicated that this was for damage to a camera that suffered a fall into
the sewer. He then said that since then one person operates the hoist and retrieval of the camera
and another person was added to assist them to eliminate the potential for this type of issue.
• Council Member Flaherty asked about a warranty.
