Mounds View City Council February 25, 2008 <br />Regular Meeting Page 5 <br />• <br />Mayor Marty thanked the Church for the generous contributions and said that he was not aware <br />that last fall the decision on the donation, cut into programs for the kids in the community. He <br />then said that he is open to the suggested committee to discuss donation ideas. <br />Council discussed potential members of the committee, deciding on Dan Weldon with the <br />YMCA, Steve Dazenski, a Park and Rec. Commission member, Al Hull and Interim Clerk- <br />Administrator Jim Ericson. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Many. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7228, <br />Accepting a Donation from Bethlehem Baptist Church and Authorizing Disbursement of Funds <br />as Specified. <br />Mayor Marty thanked Bethlehem Baptist Church for their generosity. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />E. Resolution 7232 Authorizing Purchase of Three Copy Machines from Ricoh <br />Finance Director Beer indicated that there are three copy machine leases that will expire at the <br />end of March. Staff sent out requests and received 7 bids. The current low bid is $25,433 for <br />• faster machines, better options, and a color feature. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Mueller/Hull. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7232, <br />Authorizing Purchase of Three Copy Machines from Ricoh. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />F. Resolution 7233 Approving Transfer Between Funds for 2007 <br />Finance Director Beer explained that Resolution 7233 approves budgeted transfers for fiscal year <br />2007. He then reviewed the transfers with Council. <br />Council Member Stigney asked if Staff has any recommendations on the Community Center. <br />Finance Director Beer indicated that there is some vacant office space that he would recommend <br />filling. He then said that there is a fairly full year in 2008 and that will be a better indicator of <br />how the Community Center will do. <br />Council Member Flaherty indicated that this is encouraging to him. He then said that $40,000 <br />has been trimmed from the transfer to the Community Center, and that appears to be going in the <br />right direction. <br />Mayor Marty asked for a report on half the year for bookings. <br />
