To Waive the Reading and Introduce the First Reading of <br />Ordinance 808, an Ordinance Amending Title 600 of the Mounds View City Code by Adding a <br />New Chapter 611 Relating to Special Events. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />N. Resolution 7281, Consideration of a Proposal from Springsted for <br />Compensation Study Assistance. <br />Clerk Administrator Ericson indicated that Council asked to review compensation and Staff <br />recommends approval of the Resolution to approve the proposal from Springsted to conduct the <br />compensation study. <br />Council Member Stigney indicated that a study was already conducted that established a group of <br />comparable cities, and so he would ask that whomever does this study takes that into <br />consideration. He then said that City Code is based upon the Stanton survey that is no longer <br />applicable, so he would like to ask what the other cities use and how often this is done. <br />MOTION/SECOND: Marty/Flaherty. To Waive the Reading and Approve Resolution 7281, <br />Consideration of a Proposal from Springsted for Compensation Study Assistance. <br />Council Member Mueller said she felt that Council Member Stigney brought up good questions <br />and she would like the information as well. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 Motion carried. <br />O. Consideration of Cost Sharing Expenses Associated with Irrigation Repairs <br />at 7400 Parkview Drive <br />Clerk Administrator Ericson explained that the lines were marked for irrigation repairs, but it <br />turned out that they could not go down to the water shutoff and turn it off and pull out the pipe. <br />This repair is the worst one that Staff has ever seen. The property owner has incurred $2,300 in <br />expenses for restoration. <br />Clerk Administrator Ericson indicated that this is an extraordinary circumstance, and Staff agrees <br />that some financial participation would be appropriate. Mr. Miehlhouse has asked for assistance <br />on the portion that amounts to $1,299.00. <br />• <br />
