MEMO TO: Mayor and City Council <br />Planning Commission <br />FROM: Director of Public Works/Community Development <br />DATE: July 15, 1982 <br />SUBJECT: COMPREHENSIVE PLAN - FINAL ADOPTION <br />An inquiry came today from the Metropolitan Waste Control Commission <br />regarding the status of final approval of our Comprehensive Plan. <br />Specifically, Met Council wanted to know whether the City had <br />officially adopted the Comprehensive Plan following their review and, <br />if not, when it would be adopted. From Resolution No. 1265, I see <br />that the plan was submitted to Met Council for review on April 13, <br />1981. Met Council formally approved this plan on January 7, 1982. <br />Pursuant to the Metropolitan Land Planning Act, the City has nine <br />months in which to adopt the plan. October 7th would be our dead- <br />line for adoption. Does the Council wish to proceed with the formal <br />adoption of the Comprehensive Plan? <br />Please direct staff regarding this item. <br />JJ/pf <br />n <br />
