MEMO TO: Mayor and City Council <br />f I <br />/ <br />/"\ FROM: Don Paulcy, Clerk -Administrator 1V <br />DATE: July 7, 1983 <br />SUBJECT: 5511 QUINCY PUBLIC NUISANCE <br />Attached please find a copy of a memorandum from police Investigator <br />Ramacher regarding a public nuisance existing at 5511 Quincy Street. <br />Staff concurs with Investigator Ramacher's request that City staff <br />be authorized to rectify the situation, however, we feel that the <br />owner should he held responsible for the City's expenses. City <br />Attorney Meyers has advised that this can be accomplished if the <br />City's Weed Inspector determines noxious weeds exist. The Weed <br />Inspector has done so and will provide an order for the removal of <br />the weeds and grass. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Council authorize staff to mow the property located <br />atat5511—Quincy Street and submit a bill to the owner for labor and <br />material costs and if the bill is not paid at the time taxes are <br />certified, the amount be levied on the property taxes. <br />DP/ds <br />
