MEMO TO: Mayor and City Counci <br />FROM: Clerk -Administrator <br />DATE: June 30, 1983 <br />SUBJECT: ADDITIONAL CONTRACT TIME FOR JOHN JOHNSON <br />Pursuant to your direction at the June 13, 1983 meeting, I <br />requested the attached report from John Johnson outlining the <br />following: <br />1. Present status of special projects by project and as it <br />relates to the total amount budgeted. <br />2. Anticipated hours necessary to complete special projects <br />presently in process. <br />3. Anticipated additional special projects for 1983. <br />4. Recommendation of number of hours to be added to contract <br />to complete projects in process and additional projects. <br />5. Sources of funding for additional hours. <br />To summarize Mr. Johnson's response and give you a full under- <br />standing of the issue before you, the following information is <br />pertinent: <br />1. The City's current contract with Mr. Johnson calls for 1,040 <br />hours at a rate of $22.50/hour or $23,400 to be divided <br />between the General Fund (1/2), Water Fund (1/4), and <br />Sewer Fund (1/4). An additional 210 hours ($4,725) is <br />contracted for to be used for special projects as assigned <br />by the City Council or Clerk -Administrator on a 10 hour/week <br />for 21 weeks basis. This is a total of 1,250 hours or <br />$28,125. <br />2. As of the week ending June 25, 1983 (48% of the year) <br />Mr. Johnson has billed the City for 462.5 hours (44.5%) <br />of the 1,040 hours and 319 hours (152%) of the 210 hours. <br />Mr. Johnson's memo provides a breakdown of where his time <br />has been spent so far this year. <br />3. Mr. Johnson estimates the following additional hours will <br />be necessary to complete projects presently in process: <br />G <br />
