MEMO TO: Mayor and City Council ^ ,
FROM: Director of Public Works/Community Development (J/'/
i
DATE: May 5, 1903
SUBJECT: 11ANSON/DALBERG REZONING AND MINOR SUBDIVISION REQUEST
FOR LOT LOCATED AT 7734-7742 SILVER LAKE ROAD AND
7767 GROVELAND ROAD
On April 25, 1983 the City Council held a public hearing and first
reading for a rezoning of a portion of the lots referenced above.
On May 4, 1983 the attached letter was received from Mr. Dalberg
requesting continuance of second reading until the Council could
consider an alternate rezoning proposal from Mr. Dalberg as explained
in the attached letter and sketch.
Since the Council proceeded with a rezoning from R-1 to R-2 (;:ot the
requested R-3) and took no action on the subdivision requept, the
following items need to be resolved:
1) If the three lots in question are not subdivided then
the existing parcels fronting Silver Lake Road will
become non -conforming due to lack of width.
2) The development plan currently before the Council cannot
be approved due to improper zoning and will need to be
revised or withdrawn by applicant or denied by the Council.
Staff recommends that before the second reading of the rezoning the
property be subdivided into two lots with a minimum of 100 feet of
frontage. If applicant does not want to revise his original plan
or the Council does not agree with applicant's alternate plan, then
staff recommends that the Council either table Ordinance No. 339
indefinately or deny rezoning and second reading.
JCJ/bc
Attachment
