Ordinanc§Q. <br />the second public hearing at 8:17 PM. 336, AmeF 09 <br />Chapter ti <br />Director Johnson explained the proposed amendment Public Hearing <br />to Chapter 48. <br />Mayor McCarty closed the public hearing and reopened <br />the regular meeting at 8:18 PM. <br />Motion/Second: McCarty/Blanchard to adopt Ordinance <br />Ao, , amending Chapter 48 of the Municipal Code <br />entitled, "Wetlands Zoning Ordinance", and waive <br />the reading. <br />Councilmember Linke - aye <br />Councilmember Hankner - aye <br />Councilmember Blanchard - aye <br />Motion Carried <br />Mayor McCarty - aye <br />Director Johnson reported that now the ordinance had <br />been passed, Dynamic Designers has a proposal for an <br />additional alteration of wetland, and asked when the <br />Council would like to discuss it. <br />Mayor McCarty replied they would discuss it at their <br />next agenda session. <br />Director Johnson reported that two bids were 10. <br />Consideration <br />Staff Report <br />received, one from Iayne Minnesota in the amount of <br />from Keys Well Building in the <br />of <br />Regarding Re - <br />$8,921.50 and one <br />amount of $8,600, but that with the 130' of fill <br />pair to Well <br />which must be removed, Attorney Meyers has advised <br />No. 6 <br />that the removal be looked at as a variable amount <br />and that the Council move ahead and authorize the <br />work with one contractor. He also noted that it <br />appears that Keys ommitted a $1,000 item from their <br />bid, and that on all major repair items,iayne was <br />lower in price. He stated both firms gave prices <br />per hour for removing the fill. <br />Motion/Second: McCarty/Hankner to accept the low <br />proposal, contingent upon resolution of the $1,000 <br />question. <br />Motion Carried <br />4 ayes 0 nays <br />Mayor McCarty asked for a clarification on emergency <br />repair authorization. Attorney Meyers explained that <br />if the Council declares an emergency, then the bidding <br />process and so forth does not have to be followed. <br />
