107.21 <br />107.21 Use of Profits. <br />Subdivision 1. Restrictions on Use. Profits from any activities <br />permitte under this chapter s a e expen a on y as au orize y <br />a reso ution recorded in the official minutes at a regu ar meeting <br />of the organization and only for one or more o the purposes specified <br />in the following subdivisions. <br />Subdivision 2. Aid to Persons. Such profits may be spent for <br />benefitin persons by enhancing their opportunity for religious or <br />educational advancement, by relieving or protecting them from disease, <br />sufferin or distress, by contra uting to t ear p ysica we - eing, <br />by assisting them in establishing themselves in life as worthy an <br />useful citizens, orb increasingtheir comprehension of and devotion <br />to the principles upon which this nation was founded. <br />Subdivision 3. Public Works. Such profits may be used for <br />initiating performing, or fostering worthy public works or enabling <br />or furthering the erection or maintenance of public structures. <br />Subdivision 9 Governmental Services. Such profits may.be <br />used for lessening the burdens borne by government or voluntarily <br />supporting, augmenting, or supplementing services which government <br />would normally render to the people. <br />Subdivision 5. Real Property. Such profits may be used for <br />improving, expanding, maintaining or repairing real property owned <br />or leased by an eligible organization. Such profits may not be used <br />for the erection or acquisition of any real property unless the <br />City Council specifically authorizes the expenditure after finding <br />that the property will be used exclusively for one or more of the_ <br />purposes specified in this section. <br />107.22 Bingo Exemptions Bingo may be conducted without <br />com 1 in with the requirements of 107.12 and 107.15 if conducted <br />(a) in connection with the county fair con ucted by the county <br />agricultural society or in connection with a civic celebration <br />recognized by resolution of the City Council, provided that bingo <br />shall not be conducted for more than 12 days during any one county <br />`air or recognized civic celebration, or (b) by an organization <br />that conducts fewer than five bingo occasions in any calendar year. <br />107.23 Exclusions Nothing in this chapter authorizes any <br />use, possession or operation of any gambling device which is <br />activated by the insertion of a coin or token, or any gambling <br />game or device in which the winning numbers, Lickets, or chances <br />are in any way determined by the outcome of any athletic contest <br />or snorting event. <br />4 <br />
