Anderson, Director, Parksai, <br />and Forestry Dept. <br />DATE: August 5, 1982 <br />RE: Grounds Maintenance Specification for Silver View Park <br />During the past two months staff has been meeting with a number of private <br />contract maintenance firms to determine the feasibility of subcontracting <br />out the maintenance of Silver View Park. The culmination of these meetings <br />is attached in the form of ground raintenance specifications for Silver View <br />Park. <br />As this is the first time (to my knowledge) that a municipality has actively <br />pursued a private contractor for maintenance purposes, it may need some fine <br />tuning. The proposed specifications request the contractor to maintain the <br />turf areas at Silver View Park to what we feel is an acceptable level. <br />Staff envisions that a pre -construction or bid meeting would be held with <br />each individual contractor to personally review the site and the City's <br />expectations. <br />To facilitate this process staff would request that the bid specifications be <br />approved and staff be directed to set a bid opening date for Wednesday, August <br />25, 1982 at 10:30 a.m. C.S.T. in the City Hall Council Chambers. <br />The City Council could then review the bids at their September 6, 1982 Agenda <br />Session.
