Staff does not feel that there would be a great deal of different service levels for the different types of developments other than we have experienced greater use of our recreation program through multiple family development. The reason for this occurrence is that multiple family; i.e. apartment complexes, townhouses, condo- minium development, etc., tend to attract a younger, more mobile family which has younger children which in turn make greater use of our department, i.e. specifically our recreation programs. Other than that, we do not feel that the four development altern- atives would have a major impact on our services other than a potential greater influx of younger people. V. In responding to average capital costs for our current park equip- ment facilities, these are extremely difficult to determine, which I am sure you can appreciate. The majority of our park system is currently developed at a minimal level and to provide costs levels, as stated earlier, is most difficult. The staff has included the cost estimates to complete the park system as per our parks and open space plan which was completed in 1980. Total cost is 2.553 million dollars and staff feels that the costs that were reflected in 1980 are still current today in 1982. Staff -does not envision any additional acquisition of property so All of the cost estimates would be for park development which are listed in the attachments.
