He also reported that a childrens theater <br />program had been started, with 30 children participating. <br />Park Director Anderson reported the softball program <br />was a huge -success, with over 100 teams participating, <br />and they plan on the two additional fields at Silver <br />View Park to help with the crowded schedule, but with <br />the possibility of losing the two fields at Red Oak <br />School. <br />Park Director Anderson reported that Phase I at Silver <br />View Park is almost complete, with the project being <br />approximately $7,000 under budget to date. He also <br />reported they hope the reseeding will take off soon. <br />Park Director Anderson four park shelter buildings <br />were removed, and a new one built at Lambert Park, <br />with three new buildings having been Durchased <br />recently. <br />He also reported that the City had saved approxi- <br />mately $16,000 through the use of CETA employees, <br />and they are feeling the benefit of having Larry <br />Decheine working on the park maintenance, <br />He also reported over 900 trees had been planted <br />to date, with 22 being stolen, and 230 trees being <br />that <br />vsomesOf trees/had2due to diesease. <br />6een translHe added <br />panted <br />to be doing well. , and seem <br />Director Johnson reported the street department <br />made three major repairs during the third quarter, <br />and attempted to repair the storm sewer problem, <br />and completed the seal coating. He added that <br />Lift Station #3 had a burned out motor which <br />was repaired, aswellas the rnnr tra�3L111ent <br />control oii,g completed. <br />Director Johnson reported the I&I field study <br />work was completed, with th a report due shortly. <br />He also reported a stolen fire hydrant had been <br />replaced, and the flushing of water mains was <br />completed, with the water being very dark and <br />rusty. He added they had started the servicing <br />and painting program for the fire hydrants, and <br />are 25% complete. <br />Director Johnson reported they are preparing bids <br />for the complete servicing of Well #5, and have , <br />completed 192 meter services and inspections. <br />
