n <br />Article VI: Committees <br />Section 1: Committees V <br />Committees may be caused to exist by the Board in its usual <br />manner of voting or at the determination of the Chairperson <br />of the Board. These committees may include membership from <br />outside the Board of Directors. <br />Section 2: Selection of Committee Members <br />Committee members are appointed by the Chairperson of the <br />Board. <br />Section 3: Chairperson of a Committee <br />The Chairperson of a committee shall be selected by the <br />Chairperson of the Board. <br />Article V11: Director of Center, Staff <br />Section 1: Director of the Bureau <br />The Director of the Bureau shall be selected by the majority <br />of the Board of Directors and serve at the pleasure of the <br />Board of Directors. <br />Section 2: Director <br />The Director of the Northwest Suburban Youth Service Bureau has <br />the responsibility of: a) coordinating the entire program of <br />the Bureau, of developing resources, and of implementing programs, <br />b) hiring and firing staff when needed and where funds allow; and <br />c) being responsible and accountable to the Board of Directors. <br />Section 3: Staff <br />The staff is responsible for implementing the program of the <br />Northwest Suburban Youth Service Bureau under supervision of <br />the Director. <br />Article VIII: Business Items, Checks, and Funds <br />Section 1: Business Items <br />The Director of the Northwest Suburban Youth Service Bureau shall <br />have the right to approve any budgeted items without prior <br />approval of the Board. <br />Section 2: Checks, Drafts, etc. <br />The Director of the Bureau and either the Secretary -Treasurer <br />or Chairperson shall sign all checks. <br />Section 3: Gifts <br />Gifts and contributions to the Bureau can be accepted by the <br />Director of the Bureau or the Board of Directors. <br />
