CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL <br />Page Four <br />The contractor will instruct City employees on the use of the <br />installation. All safety rules as apply to the handling and <br />use of Liquid Propane shall be thoroughly stressed in the <br />training program. <br />The initial contract will be for a 12 month period. Right is <br />reserved to extend the contract for additional periods subject <br />to acceptance of contractor at the time of extension. Propane <br />price to be firm subject to any increase or decrease in supplier's <br />wholesale cost as verified to the City upon request. Propane <br />supplied must be satisfactory for use as a motor fuel. Bids are <br />not to include any Federal or State taxes as the City is exempt <br />from Federal tax on this product and will pay the State tax <br />directly to the State of Minnesota. <br />It is estimated that this location will require approximately <br />12,000 gallons of propane over the 12 month contract period. <br />Contractor shall be available for emergency service and supply <br />24 hours per day. In the event that the contractor cannot <br />furnish propane as required, right is reserved to cancel contract <br />on 30 day's notice to contractor. <br />The successful contractor must supply a performance bond in an <br />amount equal to 12,000 gallons at the bid price which will be <br />in effect for a 12 month period from the award of the contract. <br />Completed RFP forms should be mailed to: <br />Donald F.
