RESOLUTION NO. 1506 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RCSOLUTION ENDORSING TIIE GROVELAND PARK FOUNDATION <br />CONCEPT OF VOLUNTEERING AS WINTER SKATING ATTENDANTS <br />AT GROVELAND PARK <br />WHEREAS, the Groveland Park Foundation has requested permis- <br />sion to serve as volunteers at the Groveland Park shelter building <br />during the winter skating season; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Mounds View was scheduled to hire two <br />skating rink attendants for 296 hours of supervision time at Grove - <br />land Park; and <br />WHEREAS, the Groveland Park Foundation has agreed to provide <br />competent adult leadership during the winter skating season; and <br />WHEREAS, the Groveland Park Foundation leadership will abide <br />by all of the existing City procedures and winter skating policies; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the <br />City of Mounds View does hereby heartily support and endorse the ef- <br />forts of the Groveland Park neighborhood to provide volunteer leader- <br />ship during the winter skating season at Groveland Park. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View hereby establish a separate fund account of $1,110.00 which <br />was budgeted for supervision at the site to be dedicated for park im- <br />provement projects at Groveland Park. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Mounds View encourages other community residents to support their local <br />park system and neighborhood park as the Groveland Park Foundation has. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council endorses the <br />concept of residential involvement at their local neighborhood park <br />which improves and enhances the local park system for all Mounds View <br />City residents to enjoy. <br />Adopted this 25th day of October, 1982. <br />ATTEST; <br />MAYOR <br />(SEAL) <br />CLERK -ADMINISTRATOR <br />
