Mounds' View City Council <br />Regular Meeting <br />--------------------------------- <br />November 8, 102 <br />Page Two <br />------------------------------- <br />Councilmember Doty noted that Item A was not new action <br />by the Council, but that there used to be no parking <br />signs on that side of the street, which were removed <br />during construction, and are now being put back up, <br />It was also noted there is a large parking lot on the <br />school property for people looking for parking space, <br />Acting Mayor Hodges closed the regular meeting and <br />opened the first public hearing at 7:40 PM, <br />Attorney Meyers advised the Council that a 4/5 vote <br />is required for a rezoning, but they could, however, <br />hold the public hearing. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reviewed the request of <br />the bank, and stated they could have the first <br />reading of the ordinance with only three members <br />present. <br />6A, Rezoning of <br />First State Ban <br />of New Brighton <br />Property from <br />B-3 to B; 2 <br />Josey Warren, 8044 Greenwood, a member of the Plan- <br />ning Commission, stated the Planning Commission j <br />would strongly like this property rezoned to B-2, <br />as it would be in the best interests of the City, ' <br />Acting Mayor Hodges closed the public hearing and <br />reopened the regular meeting at 7:45 PM, 4 <br />Motion/Second: Doty/Hodges to have the first <br />readingOrdinance No, 324. <br />3 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley read Ordinance No. 324, <br />Motion/Second: Blanchard/Doty to have the second <br />reading, and adopt Ordinance No. 319, granting a <br />franchise to Group W Cable of the North Suburbs, <br />Inr a Minnesota. rornoraden to end <br />maintain a cable communication system in the City, <br />setting forth conditions accompanying the grant of <br />the franchise, providing for regulation and use of <br />the system, and prescribing penalties of the <br />violation of its provision, and waive the reading. <br />3 ayes 0 nays <br />Acting Mayor Hodges closed the regular meeting and <br />opened the second public hearing at 7:50 PM, <br />Motion Carried <br />7.
