Approval , <br />consent agenda. the ConsE <br />Agenda <br />Motion/Second: Doty/Blanchard to approve the Con- <br />sent Agenda, minus Item D, and waive the reading of <br />the resolutions. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor McCarty stated he had erroneously thought <br />there were four openings on the Festivities Commi- <br />ssion, while there are only two, and thus he would <br />have to remove two names from appointment to the <br />Commission. He recommended that June Bermann and <br />Barb McClusky be stricken from the list of appointees, <br />and stated he would contact them to explain the <br />situation. He also pointed out that the final <br />whereas in the resolution would have to be stricken, <br />as the ordinance states that the Civil Service <br />Chairman shall be the member who is serving his <br />last year. <br />Motion/Second: McCarty/Doty to adopt Resolution <br />No. 1542, striking June Bermann and Barb McClusky <br />from the Festivities Commission and striking the <br />final whereas in it's entirely from the draft <br />resolution, and waive the reading of the reso- <br />lution, <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Motion/Second: Doty/Blanchard to approve the 6. 1st Reading of <br />first reading of Ordinance No. 329, amending the Ord, No, 329 <br />Municipal Code of Mounds View by repealing Chapter Amending the <br />22, "Special Police Department Fund", Municipal Code <br />of Mounds View <br />5 ayes 0 nays by Repealing <br />Chapter 22, <br />"Special Police <br />Department Fund <br />Motion Carried <br />Finance Director Brager reported the normal 7. Fourth Quarter <br />activities of the department had been continued, 1982 Department <br />with one modification being made in the utility Head Reports <br />bills, with the computer generating the reminder <br />letter, which is saving the billing clerk time. <br />Ile reported they have finished work on the 1983 <br />budget and hope they will not have to redo it. <br />Finance Director Brager reported the department <br />had assisted at the Counting Center during <br />the elections, and the required repair to some <br />
