Mounds View City Council January 10, 1983 <br />Regular Meeting Page Five <br />------------------------------------------------------------------------ <br />Director Johnson reported 2119' of sanitary sewer <br />r <br />had been cleaned, and the second phase of the water <br />treatment study started. 351 water meters were <br />serviced, with many removed and repaired, and <br />repair was initiated for the drive shaft on Well //2. <br />Director Johnson reported Bill Hanson has been <br />certified for CPR training, and Gary Kardell has <br />taken courses in supervisory skills. <br />Director Johnson reported the Planning Commission <br />has completed their review of Chapters 48, 49 and <br />49A, and completed the update of the 5 year MSA <br />plan. He reported he has met with 5 developers <br />regarding the wetlands ordinance, and the Oakpark <br />pond is 90% completed, and the Silver View <br />improvement project is near completion. He <br />reported the status of the ditch on Long Lake Road, <br />at H-2, is in limbo, as the contractor has filed for <br />bankruptcy, and it is in the hands of the bonding company. <br />ile pointed out the City did not pay out all the funds, <br />and they are insured by the bond. <br />Mayor McCarty asked that a letter be sent to all <br />residents who complained about the water situation, <br />bringing them up to date. <br />Motion/Second: McCarty/Doty to send letters, updating <br />tF6_se_wFo_FaU direct input to the City on the water <br />discoloration problem. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Director Johnson stated the consultants from Serco <br />Lab and TKDA hope to start on January 17, ahead of <br />schedule. <br />Finance Director Brager presented the Council with <br />copies of a proposed resolution, regarding the <br />freeze placed on all wages and benefits for City <br />employees. He stated that in reviewing resolution <br />for non -union personnel, those resolutions establish <br />wages and benefits on a calendar basis. <br />Motion/Second: Doty/Linke to approve Resolution <br />No. 5 7 and waive the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported he has met with <br />all employee groups to keep them updated on the <br />' situation. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he had reviewed Chapter 39 4. Residents Re - <br />and this falls under the definition of a sign, and quests (Cont.) <br />
