Johnson, Director <br />Public Works/Community Development <br />City of Mounds View <br />2401 Highway 10 <br />Mounds View, Minnesota 55112 <br />RE: Water Treatment System Analysis <br />TKDA Commission No. 7848-01 <br />Dear Mr. Johnson: <br />Submitted herewith is Contract Amendment No. 2 to the Original Agreement <br />and a new Contract Agreement to provide engineering services for design and <br />construction of potassium permanganate feed systems for Treatment Plants <br />No. 2 and 3. <br />The Contract Amendment to the original Agreement expands the scope to in- <br />clude pilot testing at Treatment Plant No. 1 for Well No. 3. The engineering <br />fee is increased by $2,000 to a total of $7,500. The period of completion <br />has been extended to December, 1983. Upon receipt of a signed Amendment, <br />TKDA is prepared to proceed, dependent on conditions at Treatment Plant No. 1. <br />TKDA could proceed at any time after the aerators are replaced and water <br />demand will not interfere with testing. <br />The new Contract Agreement is to provide complete design preparation <br />and construction inspection for potassium permanganate feed systems for <br />Treatment Plants No. 2 and 3. TKDA will proceed immediately with the design <br />phase upon receipt of the signed Agreement. Plans and specifications would <br />be ready for the City's approval within three weeks of receipt of the signed <br />Agreement. <br />Please sign both copies of Amendment No. 2 and the <br />and return one copy to TKDA.
