Formal public hearings were held on the proposed areas within the affected <br />communities (November and December 1981). Based on the information contained <br />in the hearing records, the Board then selected the eight Preferred areas out- <br />side the seven -county Metro Area (April 1982). At the same time the <br />Board also tentatively identified two preferred areas in the Metro- <br />politan area. <br />30. The eight preferred areas identified in April 1982 are: <br />Duluth (transfer/storage, incineration, chemical processing) <br />Waite Park & St. Cloud Township (transfer/storage) <br />Fergus Falls (transfer/storage.) <br />Mankato and Lime Township (transfer/storage, incineration, them. process.) <br />Owatonna (transfer/storage, chemical processing) <br />High Forest Township (near Rochester) (transfer/storage) <br />Willmar Township (transfer/storage) <br />31. Criteria Development <br />32.
