-CV41L, O <br />r MEMO TO: <br />FROM: <br />Mayor and CiLy Council <br />Director of Public Works/Community Development <br />DATE: July 14, 1983 <br />SUBJECT: PROBATION I)FR10D POIt '1'iM P19'TMAN <br />Mr. Pittman's 6 month probation period will end July 25, 1983. <br />During Mr. Pittman's probation period we have had a chance to fully <br />evaluate his varied talents as they relate to tl:e Public Works <br />Maintenance position. <br />Mr. Pittman is assigned primarily to the Sewer Department. We <br />have observed the he is more than capable to fulfill his duties <br />as assigned. in addition, Mr. Pittman has been invaluable in <br />assisting with the propane conversion and auto body work on new <br />and old vehicles which has resulted in considerable savings to the <br />City. Mr. Pittman has excellent mechanical skills. <br />Mr. Pittman has excellent work habits and will complete tasks <br />essigned in a timely and satisfactory fashion with minimal super- <br />vision. <br />Mr. Pittman has proven to be a definite asset to the Maintenance <br />Department work force. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council approve <br />Mr. Trim PiTttman as permanent full time employee for the City of <br />Mounds View. Mr. Pittman's salary shall be per the contract rates <br />in the Labor Agreement with I.U.O.E., Local No. 49. <br />JCJ/bc <br />
