Mounds View City Council August 8, 1983 <br />Regular Meeting Page Seven <br />------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported the Council <br />Adr�lhad issued a cease and desist order at it's last <br />.meeting, and Mr. Johnson has now applied for a <br />permit. <br />Mayor McCarty stated he was not certain how to <br />handle a borderline situation, which he felt this <br />was. Councilmember Linke read from Chapter 48.06, <br />Sub. 4 (C), which stated that it gives the Council <br />leeway, <br />Attorney Meyers advised that if this is an exemption <br />it would have to fall within a minor development, <br />single family residential. He added if the Council <br />grants this request, they will be beginning to esta- <br />blish criteria to be used in the future. <br />Councilmember Linke pointed out that the contour of <br />the lot will not be changed, just holes filled. <br />Motion/Second: Linke/Blanchard to adopt Resolution <br />No. 2, aBing at the end of the sixth paragraph, <br />"pursuant to Chapter 48.06, Sub. 4(C), and waive <br />the reading. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Motion/Second: McCarty/Linke to authorize Staff to <br />pursue the condemnation proceedings for 7900 <br />Edgewood Drive, authorizing Attorney Meyers to file <br />the necessary documents with the Clerk of Courts. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Councilmember Hankner asked the status of the home <br />at the corner of Hillview and Woodlawn. Clerk/ <br />Administrator Pauley replied that it was in the <br />process, which does take time. <br />Attorney Meyers reported he had spoken to the <br />attorney for GTF, the bonding company, and they <br />are ready to go ahead with the completion of <br />the contract, after receiving Council approval. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley stated that Staff would <br />recommend that Gilbertson not be used. <br />Mayor McCarty recommended continuing in the same <br />.ireetion and calling in the bond and getting the <br />job done, Attorney Meyers replied that he will <br />send a letter, telling them to get the job done. <br />12.
