Mounds View City Council August 8, 1983. <br />Regular Meeting Page Eight <br />------------------------------------------------------------------------ <br />Councilmember Doty questioned the status of the City's 15. Reports <br />water supply. Clerk/Administrator Pauley replied Council <br />that all the equipment is being put back into opera- <br />ting order, and the City is able to keep up with the <br />present demand, and Staff is keeping a close watch <br />on the situation. <br />Councilmember Linke reported the Ramsey County League <br />of Local Governments will be meeting on August 17, <br />and the topic of the evening will be the Metropolitan <br />Waste Control Commission. <br />Councilmember Linke reported the Festivities Commission <br />had met August 3 and went over their reorganization, <br />which they are well into. <br />Councilmember Linke reported the Park and Rec Department <br />held a picnic on August 2 for the volunteer coaches, <br />and presented each coach with a jacket, in appreciation <br />for the work they did. <br />Councilmember Hankner reported she had spent an after- <br />noon with Fire Chief Fagerstrom and toured the Fire <br />Department facilities, and found it very interesting <br />and a learning experience. <br />Councilmember Blanchard reported she had not attended <br />the August 3 Planning Commission and had no report. <br />Mayor McCarty had no report. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley presented the Council <br />with a list of people that may be going on the tax <br />certification list. <br />Mayor McCarty expressed concern that there may be <br />some senior citizens on the list, who are too proud <br />to come to the City for help. Clerk/Administrator <br />Pauley replied that Staff is familiar with all but <br />five of the people on the list, and many had signed <br />promisary notes and then not followed through. He <br />added the City has made every attempt to try and <br />collect the delinquent bills and to help people <br />make arrangements for payment. <br />Motion/Second: Doty/Blanchard to authorize Staff <br />to proms with tax certification for unpaid water <br />and sewer bills. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />�v. <br />CL <br />j <br />16.
