ADDENDUM A <br />MAUREEN TNIELEN <br />ADDITIONAL AQUATIC DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES: <br />I. Evaluate and revise the current Edgewood pool/Lakeside Park beach operations <br />and physical facility, for optimal efficiency and safety. <br />11. Review and revise the current swimming lesson structure. <br />A. Program planning: <br />1. Examine lesson time, length of class, instructor/student ratio, <br />instructor pay scale, demand/supply of each class level. <br />B. Organize and update instructor/lifeguard in-service manual. <br />1. Unification of skill requirement, emergency procedures, CPR. <br />C. Devise individual "report card" check -off sheets for each swim class <br />level, <br />D. Inventory current supplies/equipment available, and provide additional <br />items, necessary for a safe aquatic environment. <br />E. Evaluate current instructor/guard evaluation forms, and design public <br />input/evaluation forms. <br />II1. Initiate, organize and carry out corporate fitness programs emphasizing, <br />but not limited to, the available aquatics facilities. <br />IV. Propose school district wide after school, weekend and summer long <br />aquatics program planning coordination, and supervision. <br />V. Evaluate and update current aquatics curriculum; and establish an open <br />communication channel with the school administrators. <br />A. Build an indirect feeder system for the park and recreation/U.S.S.A. <br />team aquatics program. <br />VI. Work in an advisory capacity to the Mounds View U.S.S.A. team. <br />A. Coordinate the scheduling of team practice time with other community <br />aquatics programs. <br />VI1. Research, develop, and implement new aquatic and related programs. <br />A. Possibilities include, but are not limited to: <br />1. Slimnastics (water exercise) course <br />2. Swimmer's Conditioning Club <br />a. Strokework clinic - improves lap swimmer's technique <br />b. Posted workouts - for independent "masters" competitive swimmers <br />3. Total fitness program <br />a. Nutrition classes <br />b. Organized stretching program <br />c. Free weights <br />d. Underwater body fat count testing <br />e. Jogging trails <br />f. Swimmer's Conditioning Club <br />4. handicapped aquatics program <br />5. Mile -charters club <br />6. Advanced Diving <br />7. Private Lessons <br />
