Nygren, Superintendent <br />September 1, 1983 <br />Mayor Duane McCarty <br />and Members of the Mounds View City Council: <br />The Mounds View School Board has developed a plan (see enclosed) <br />to aid in setting short and long-term goals for District 4621. <br />Under the plan we want to work closely with all segments of our <br />community to better understand the needs of children and the <br />school system. The Board intends to formally adopt the goals <br />in November. <br />We are requesting the Council of each municipality in our School <br />District to place on a future agenda (preferably no later than <br />October) the topic "School District ;•621 Goal -setting." We <br />would then ask each Council as a group to respond to the <br />following: <br />-- "We believe the strengths of the School District are . . ." • <br />-- "We're concerned about. ." <br />- "We recommend. . ." <br />You may also choose to make remarks that don't necessarily fit <br />the three categories listed. <br />We do believe your ideas are important, and we'd like to have <br />your responses before establishing the future direction of the <br />District.
