ORDINANCE NO. 349 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />I %N AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />MOUNDS VIEW BY REPEALING CHAPTER 35, ENTITLED <br />"THE FESTIVITIES COMMISSION" AND ADOPTING A NEW CHAPTER 35 <br />ENTITLED "MOUNDS VIEW FESTIVITIES COMMISSION" <br />The Council of the City of Mounds View does hereby ordain: <br />SECTION I. Chapter 35, Entitled "The Festivities Commission" <br />is hereby repealed. <br />SECTION II. The new Chapter 35, "Mounds View Festivities <br />Commission", is hereby adopted as follows: <br />35.01 <br />CHAPTER 35 <br />MOUNDS VIEW FESTIVITIES COMMISSION <br />35.01 Purpose. <br />To promote an annual community -wide special event. <br />35.02 Composition. <br />A nine (9) member voting board shall be appointed by the Mayor <br />with the approval of the City Council and shall operate under <br />Chapter 35 of the Municipal Code. <br />35.03 Organization. <br />1. The first Tuesday of each month or as deemed necessary. <br />2. Quorum shall be five (5) appointed members. <br />3. The first meeting in September shall include: <br />a. Election of chairperson (chairperson must be someone <br />who has served at least one year on the Commission.) <br />b. Vice -chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer shall be <br />appointed by the Chairperson with approval of the <br />Commission. <br />c. Reviewal of by-laws. By-law changes, if any, should be <br />read and suggested at a meeting and can be voted on at <br />the following meeting and changed by a 2/3 vote of the <br />members present subject to approval of the City Council. <br />4. Budget shall be prepared and submitted to the Council for <br />approval by September meeting and shall include projected <br />revenues and expenditures. The Commission shall recommend <br />to the Council uses for any donations or revenues generated <br />by the Commission. <br />
