The policies are discussed in the <br />enclosed documents. <br />These policies build on the Council-s experience in coordinating a wide range <br />of public and private activities and apply that *experience •.to new areas -- <br />economic development and its financing. The Policies and. implementation <br />program are scheduled to be adopted on �ri•interim. basis by the Council in early <br />1984. They would be fully integrated into, the Development•Framework 'chapter of <br />the Council-s Metropolitan Development Guide in late 1984. <br />The Council would like your comments and suggestions on this proposed policy <br />document. Accordingly, the Council will hold a public hearing for•that purpose <br />on the following date: <br />Nov. 16, 1983 <br />7 p.m. <br />Metropolitan Council Chambers <br />300 Metro Square Bldg. <br />7th and Robert Streets <br />St. Paul, Minn. <br />If you would like to speak at the public hearing, please call Shirlee Smith of <br />the Council-s Planning Assistance staff at 291-6421. You may submit written <br />comments on the draft until Dec. 1, 1983. Questions about the proposed <br />policies should be directed to William Byers of the Council-s Comprehensive <br />Planning staff at 291-6322. <br />Enclosed are two documents: a summary of the proposed interim economic <br />policies and the policy document itself.
