Metropolitan Council Operating Entity <br />POSITION: <br />The Municipal Legislative Commission opposes any efforts by the <br />Metropolitan Council to expand in any areas to the extent they become a <br />metropolitan government operating agency. The MU believes that the <br />Metropolitan Council should adhere to its original charge of being a <br />planning and coordinating agency for issues of metropolitan significance. <br />SU(•1MARY: <br />The Municipal Legislative Commission will nonitor all other legislation <br />with respect to metropolitan affairs and lobby for and react to <br />legislation consistent with these adopted policies dated February 23, <br />1984. <br />_J <br />v <br />
