Also, the <br />printouts are of a nature requiring explanatory attach- <br />ments in order to be able to determine the results. It <br />is proposed that over the next five years the existing <br />machines be retrofitted or new machines purchased which <br />will expedite the ballot counting process by eliminating <br />the overheating problem and improving the printout <br />quality thereby ensuring accuracy in the transfer of <br />information to the various forms mandated by State law. <br />4) City_Hal1 - The City Hall Division of the Administration <br />Department provides tor the maintenance and uperdiiun ui <br />the City Hall building, personnel services costs for the <br />part-time Receptionist position, office supplies, post- <br />age, and liability and automobile insurance premiums. It <br />is anticipated that the level of service provided by this <br />division will not increase over the next five years, <br />however, it is projected that utility and other costs <br />will increase, thus, resulting in this division taking an <br />increasing share of the City's operating budget. <br />5) Legal and Fire - Legal and fire protection services are <br />provided by contracting individuals or agencies, with the <br />level of service being determined by the demand for such <br />service and the expense for such service to the City <br />being determined by them. Thus, increases in service <br />cannot be predicted and the cost for such services, <br />although expected to increase, should remain on a pro- <br />portional basis. <br />6) Clerk -Administrator's Office - The position of Clerk <br />Section � ni of the Home <br />Administrator is estdblisheu Uy ,��� �., <br />Rule Charter with Section 6.03 outlining the duties of <br />the Clerk -Administrator. Basically, the duties of the <br />Clerk -Administrator and, as a result, the Clerk <br />Administrator's Office can be summarized as follows: <br />a. All of the duties and responsibilities of a City <br />Clerk in a statutory city including the conduct of <br />elections, maintenance of all municipal records and <br />accounts, and issuance of all licenses and permits, <br />except for building permits and contractor's <br />licenses. <br />b. Assist the City Council in the administration of City <br />affairs including the supervision of its employees, <br />programs and activities, and labor contracts. <br />J <br />
