1983 LONG-TERM FINANCIAL PLAN <br />Page Twelve <br />The present organization of the Police Department is as shown <br />below: <br />POLICE CIiIEF DEPARTMENT SECRETARY <br />TPART-TIME SECRETARY <br />PATROL JUVENILE CORPORAL 1INVESTIGATOR <br />SERGEANT OFFICER 1 man 1 man <br />1 man 1 man --- <br />COMMUNITY I PATROLMEN <br />SERVICE 7 men <br />OFFICER ---- <br />It is anticipated that the person presently holding the <br />Patrol Sergeant position will be retiring in 1985. At that <br />time, it is proposed that the position be phased out and <br />replaced with an additional Patrolman. At the same time, one <br />of the current Patrolmen would be promoted to the position of <br />Corporal. <br />`a^s-,,intainud a ctrpnath <br />Since 1911, the Police Depar Liiient 11 <br />of 12 sworn officers. The City's population and police <br />activities have increased appreciably since 1977. It is <br />anticipated that the Police Department will be adding one <br />additional Patrolman to current staffing levels in both 1985 <br />and 1986. Assuming these changes occur, the total sworn <br />personnel would be 14 in 1988. The clerical staff will <br />continue to include one full time and one part-time <br />secretary. <br />Should the changes occur, the Department's organization and <br />manpower allocation would be as shown on the following page: <br />
