Mounds View City Council ° March 26, 1984 Regular Meeting cq ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Mayor McCarty reported he had received a letter from the Governor's office, inviting him to a meeting on April 2 regarding the appointment of the Met Council Chairman, and also to bring the Citys concerns to the attention of the Governor and his Staff. He asked that Clerk/Administrator Pauley attend in his place, as he had committments for that day that could not be rescheduled. Mayor McCarty also reported he had received a letter from someone interested in taking over a game room in the City, Clerk/Administrator Pauley advised that Attorney Meyers is reviewing it and will be giving the Council his opinion. Mayor McCarty reviewed what had happened at the meeting he attended in Blaine regarding the racetrack, and stated that he had taken no position and given no indication that the City had any position, pro or con. Clerk/Administrator Pauley advised he had received a memo today from Consulting Engineers Diversified, which was directed to the Racing Commission, in response to Mayor McCarty's comments at the meeting, Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported they had received 14. Report o a thank you note from the Paradise family, for the Administr r flowers. Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported he and represen- tatives from the City of Blaine had met and interviewed an applicant for the Energy Coordinator position, and he will be making a recommendation to the Council at their April 9 meeting. Clerk/Administrator Pauley asked the Council to set a date for Clean -Up Day. It was agreed to go with May 19, with Staff to make the arrangements and place an article in the newsletter.
