MEMO TO: Clerk -Administrator & City Council <br />I� FROM: Director of Public Works/Community Development <br />DATE: April 12, 1984 <br />SUBJECT: The Street Sweeping Bids - Project 84-3 <br />On April 6, 1994 four bids were received for the subject project. <br />Clean Sweep Inc. bid $51.00 per hour and did not have a not <br />to exceed price. American Sweepers Inc. bid $49 per hour with <br />a not to exceed price of $5,880. Allied Blacktop Company bid <br />$47 per hour with a not to exceed price of $5,170. Forgerty <br />Truck Service did not have a price per hour, however, his not <br />to exceed price is $4,685. Since Forgerty Truck Service did not <br />provide a price per hour or a bid bond I do not believe we should <br />award the work to him. The budget for street sweeping and waste <br />disposal is $5,500. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: I recommend awarding the project to Allied <br />Blacktop Company, 10503 89th Avenue N., Maple Plain MN, 55369 <br />because they are within the budget and Forgerty Truck Service <br />did not provide a bid bond. <br />SWT/mb <br />
