ADMINISTRATIVE NEWSLETTER
MAY 29, 1984
PAGE THREE
ENERGY COUNCIL (continued)
match in the 1985 budget.
OFFICE EDUCATION ASSOCIATION BREAKFAST
On Thursday, May 17th it was my privilege to attend a breakfast
conducted by Irondale High School to honor the employers of their
students participating in work study programs. As you know the
City of Mounds View had an Office Education Association student
working as a part-time receptionist for the City since 1981. This
individual, Michelle Bednorz will soon be graduating from Irondale
High School and continue to work for the City until she begins
Business College on October 1 of this year.
During the period of time Michelle has been with us sha has
performed her duties ii, an exceptional manner and I am sure
we all wish her well in her future career. if you have the
opportunity I would encourage you to take the opportunity to
congratulate Michelle on her recent graduation.
CLEAN-UP DAY
The City again conducted a most successful clean-up day on
Saturday, May 19. All of the results are not in at this point,
however, I can tell you that our revenues exceeded those of 1983
and initial results indicate that we received more material for
disposal than in previous years. I would personally like to thank
Councilmember Bill Doty for his significant assistance during
clean-up day, Bill worked the entire day and were it not for
his help we would have been hard-pressed to keep up with the
never ending line of vehicles wanting to drop off material.
Thanks also go to Jerry Blanchard and Public Works Maintenance
Man, Chris Weston.
CALENDAR
May 28 All Day Memorial Day Holiday
May 29 11:00 a.m. City Hall Tours for
Irondale Third Grade
Classes
1:00 p.m. Metropolitan Airport:,
Commission Board Meeting
6:00 p.m. Executive Session with
Grant Merritt
7:30 pm.
