L- iv
MEMO TO: Clerk -Administrator
City Council
Director of Public Works/Community Development
FROM: Building Inspector
DATE: May 31, 1984
SUBJECT: PRIVATE SEWER AND WATER SERVICE REQUEST
Attached is a letter from Mr. T. Holtz in which he is making the
request to provide his own sewer and water service for property
located at 2935 Highway 10 (his address is not correct in the
letter). Further, he wishes to use a trailer as a temporary
building to live in while building his house and also construct
a garage before a principle dwelling is built. The property
does not have City sewer and water servcie available to the lot.
Question #1 - The sewer ordinance clearly states that all new
buildings constructed shall hook up to the
municipal sewer system.
Question #2 - The water ordinance does not prohibit him from
providing his own service.
Question #3 - The Zoning Code allows temporary mobile home
permits for 90 days for office useage (not home)
with City Council approval.
Question #4 - The Zoning Code has previously been determined
to read that an accessory structure cannot be
built or located on a lot until a principle
building exists on that said property.
Conclusion - Mr. T. Holtz requests,'with the exception of
#2 concerning the well, all require a deviation
of City ordinances.
Please direct staff as to your direction in this matter.
Thank you.
SAR/bc
1
