-2- <br />5. Direct and coordinate the preparation of a year-round swim- <br />ming program which will be mailed to all school district <br />residents promoting swimming opportunities available through- <br />out the city and school district. <br />7. Oversee a variety of public relations activities designed to <br />make the most effective use of available promotional possi- <br />bilities through local media, flyers, school announcements, <br />letter coorespondence, etc. <br />8. Coordinate and control facility usage for the Edgewood <br />Community Center Pool to include private pool rentals and <br />corporate fitness rentals or promotions. <br />9. Initiate and control all supply equipment purchases to <br />replenish existing inventories and provide additional items <br />necessary for effective program implementation and maximum <br />safety for all swimming pool and beachfront patrons. <br />10. Establish necessary policies and procedures required to <br />insure all required paperwork is maintained for the proper <br />and efficient running of the aquatics program including prep- <br />aration of well documented reports that clearly identify <br />existing program activity and extent of participation. The <br />reports should include supporting information identifying <br />accountability for administration of each program and related <br />employee lists, budget allocations, etc. (Year end report, <br />budget report, quarterly public lesson evaluations. <br />11. In addition, Ms. Thiilen will interface with the school dis- <br />trict as outlined in Addendum B which is the joint powers <br />agreement with the school district providing coordination of <br />the pool programs on a school district -wide basis. <br />In return for the aforementioned services from Ms. Theilen, the <br />City of Mounds View hereby agrees tc the following: <br />1. Provide reimbursement for the proposed activities at an annu- <br />al rate of $10,000.00 per year to be paid in twenty-six equal <br />increments. <br />2. The hourly work schedule will be (September through May) one- <br />third time (13.3 hours per week) for 39 weeks. Approximately <br />half of these hours would be posted office hours with the <br />remaining hours being flexible. <br />1 <br />
