She added she would like to see it go <br />on to Dave Licht. �! <br />�i:•' a <br />a e <br />Mr. Jensen pointed out they first made applica- <br />tion on May 31, and it was their understanding the <br />property was zoned correctly for this particular <br />use, and they later found out there was conflict <br />with the Comp Plan. He stated there is no one way <br />to plan a particular area, and he would hope the <br />Planning Commission would approve the item and <br />pass it on to the Council this evening, and make <br />any necesary changes to the Comp Plan following <br />this meeting. <br />Motion: Miller to forward to Dave Licht and make <br />concerted effort to resolve the issue regarding I <br />that area as it relates to Highway 10 and uses <br />along Highway 10. Motion Failed <br />The motion failed for lack of a second. <br />Mr. Jensen again stated his concern with the time <br />element, pointing out they have been before the <br />Planning Commission since June, and would prefer <br />the Planning Commission recommend either approval <br />or denial. <br />Chairman Mountin pointed out the Commissioners <br />had asked them to take the plan to Dave Licht <br />at the August 15 meeting. <br />Motion/Second: Anderson/Sargent to recommend <br />approva an have Staff prepare a resolution and <br />Conditional Use Permit and then move the item on <br />to the Council, with the Planning Commission to <br />vote on the resolution at the next agenda session, <br />on September 19, at 7:30 PM, o-hich will be a <br />special meeting. <br />4 ayes 1 nay :-lotion Carried <br />Chairman Mountin stated she voted against the motion <br />as she feels the recommendation for approval is not <br />in keeping with the spirit and.intent of the Comp <br />Plan, and it perpetuates conlercial strip development. <br />She added the developer has not been willing to work <br />through the professional planner of the City, and <br />
