MEMO TO: MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: CLERK -ADMINISTRATOR <br />DATE: NOVEMBER 28, 1984 <br />SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT OF MANAGER TO RICE CREEK WATERSHED <br />DISTRICT <br />Staff previously sought direction from the Council regarding <br />a request from Ramsey County to nominate individual(s) for <br />the expired term of Diane Harstad on the Rice Creek <br />Watershed Board of Managers. Council directed Staff to <br />determine if any other cities would be making nominations. <br />As a result of our contacting the other district cities, <br />Staff has determined the following. <br />1. Diane Harstad will not be seeking reappointment, <br />2. Except for New Brighton, none of the other cities <br />` will be making a nomination. New Brighton has <br />lr nominated Gerald Sande, copy of request for our <br />support attached. <br />Due to the fact that the time for nominations has closed, <br />the Council can either endorse the nomination of Mr. Sande <br />or make no nomination. <br />Request for Action: Staff would request direction from <br />Council as to your desire to endorse Mr..
