MICROGRAPHIC SERVICES UNIT DECEMBER 7, 1984 <br />RECORDS MANAGEMENT DIVISION JOB #130 <br />DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION <br />City of Mounds View <br />As -Built Engineering Plans <br />Microfilm Proposal <br />PROPOSAL <br />This proposal is to microfilm the City of Mounds View, Public Works <br />and Engineering Division's as -built engineering plans. There are <br />approximately 1,603 pages of plans which are permanent records. <br />The microfilm output for this file series will be 35mm film in <br />microfilm jackets capable of holding up to 6 plans each. <br />The plans are in comparatively good condition. However, some docu- <br />ments may be of poor quality. <br />OUTPUT <br />Documents will be microfilmed on the MRG camera at a reduction of <br />36x. Approximately 500 documents per roll will be filmed. The <br />resulting rolls of film will be loaded into approximately 320 <br />jackets. <br />DOCUMENT PREPARATION <br />The agency is responsible for all document preparation. When the <br />documents are delivered to Micrographics, they should be "camera <br />ready." This means that the documents should be in the order that <br />they are to be filmed, that all unnecessary rubber bands, paper <br />clips and staples are removed, and that all documents are in a flat <br />and unfolded condition as much as possible. <br />All pickups and deliveries will be provided by User. <br />EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS <br />The City of Mounds View will need a microfiche viewer with the <br />appropriate lens. <br />DOCUMENT DISPOSAL <br />The agency is responsible for destruction of the original documents <br />in accordance with state law. Authority for disposal must be on <br />
