Mayor and Council April 10, LgH9 Page Two stipuLations we would place on this recommendations are as follows: 1. An effective date of April 2q, 1985 or as soon thereafter as possible. 2. Plane the arrangement on a twelve-month trial period with an evaluation at the end of that period before a final derision is made. 3. The day-to-day supervision of the personnel regularly assigned to Parks Maintenance would be the responsibiLity of the Public, Works Fore- man who would work in close cooperation with the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director and Public Works/Community Development Director, including regular meetings as well as completing monthly work task sheets provided by the Parks, Rerreation and Forestry Director.. 4. The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director would have direct input through the Publir. Works/ Community Development Director on all personnel issues relating to the Public Works Foreman including evaluation, salary review, disciplinary authority, and authority to provide work direction on all park related issues. 5. The Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director would be solely rosponsihle for submitting recommendations to the Parks and Recreation Commission and City Council for capital improvements for City Parks. 6. The annual parks maintenance equipment capital improvement proposals submitted as part of the annual budget and long-term financial plan would be prepared by the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director and reviewed and approved by the Publir. Works Foreman and Public Works/Community Development Director. 7. The responsibility for the hiring of all part-time staff personnel assigned to Parks and the coordina- tion of the JPTA/MEFD Grants would remain the responsibility of the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director with day-to-day supervision being the responsibiLity of the Pub1tC Works Foreman.
