Mounds View City Council March 25, 1985 Regular Meeting Page Eight --------------------------------------------------------------------- Mayor Linke reported he had attended a meeting with Clerk/Administrator Pauley on March 22 with the director of the Ramsey County Public Libraries, on a proposed site in Mounds View, which if built, would be between 1995 and 2000. lie stated they would like to have the Library Board revise their schedule to build the library within the next few years, and stated he would the City to send a letter to the Ramsey County Library Board and Commissioners, stating that the City would provide the land free of charge for the proposed building. The land is approximately 3 acres in size, at the corner of Long Lake Road and Highway 10. Clerk/Administrator Pai.ley added the location is within 150' of the location they have in mind already. Motion/Second: Haake/Quick to authorize a letter to the Ramsey County Library Board and Ramsey County Commissioners offering the land at the extreme western end of the Mounds View City Hall property for the construction of a library. 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried Mayor Linke reported he and Councilmember Quick had attended the Ramsey County League Legislative Committee meeting on March 21. Mayor Linke reminded everyone of the City Appreciation Dinner scheduled for March 29 at the Bel Rae Ballroom. Clerk/Administrator Pauley reminded the Council of 19, Report of the three Saturday goal sessions that are Administrator scheduled. Clerk/Administrator Pauley recommended scheduling the spring clean-up day for May 11, as the proposed date of May 25 is Memorial weekend. Motion/Second: Linke/Hankner to set the 1985 p�EngL°lean-Up Day for May 11, 1985. 5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried Clerk/Administrator Pauley reviewed the information he had received on the Star Cities conference and recommended the Council make a decision on whether to go so the registration could be sent in.
