Mounds View City Council March 25, 1985 <br />Regular Meeting Page Eight <br />--------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />Mayor Linke reported he had attended a meeting with <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley on March 22 with the <br />director of the Ramsey County Public Libraries, on <br />a proposed site in Mounds View, which if built, <br />would be between 1995 and 2000. lie stated they <br />would like to have the Library Board revise their <br />schedule to build the library within the next few <br />years, and stated he would the City to send <br />a letter to the Ramsey County Library Board and <br />Commissioners, stating that the City would provide <br />the land free of charge for the proposed building. <br />The land is approximately 3 acres in size, at the <br />corner of Long Lake Road and Highway 10. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pai.ley added the location is <br />within 150' of the location they have in mind already. <br />Motion/Second: Haake/Quick to authorize a letter to <br />the Ramsey County Library Board and Ramsey County <br />Commissioners offering the land <br />at the extreme western end of the Mounds View City <br />Hall property for the construction of a library. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Mayor Linke reported he and Councilmember Quick had <br />attended the Ramsey County League Legislative <br />Committee meeting on March 21. <br />Mayor Linke reminded everyone of the City Appreciation <br />Dinner scheduled for March 29 at the Bel Rae Ballroom. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reminded the Council of 19, Report of <br />the three Saturday goal sessions that are Administrator <br />scheduled. <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley recommended scheduling <br />the spring clean-up day for May 11, as the proposed <br />date of May 25 is Memorial weekend. <br />Motion/Second: Linke/Hankner to set the 1985 <br />p�Eng­L°lean-Up Day for May 11, 1985. <br />5 ayes 0 nays Motion Carried <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reviewed the information <br />he had received on the Star Cities conference and <br />recommended the Council make a decision on whether <br />to go so the registration could be sent in. <br />
