Grants <br />Ms. Siedencranz reviewed the two grants being requested. <br />Motion/Second: Hankner/Blanchard to give the City's <br />en orsement to the $2,000 juvenile crime prevention <br />curriculum grant and the $18,207 community resource <br />workers grant, for the Mounds View School District, <br />and authorize the Clerk/Administrator to sign the <br />grant application on behalf of the City. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reviewed the history of <br />the request of employees to use the garage after <br />hours. He reviewed the information received from <br />Attorney Meyers and the insurance consultant, regard- <br />consultantinthe tregardinglhow theand <br />union mostfrom the llikely or wouldns <br />interpret it. <br />Councilmember Haake stated that while she had earlier <br />been in favor of allowing the use, she has now changed <br />her mind after receiving additional information. <br />Councilmember Blanchard stated she was against the <br />idea altogether. <br />Motion/Second: Blanchard/Haake to deny the request of <br />ity emp oyees to use the garage for personal use after <br />hours. <br />5 ayes 0 nays <br />Clerk/Administrator Pauley reported the City has <br />received an application from the Mounds View Food <br />Shop for a non -intoxicating malt liquor license. <br />He added that due to their good record and past <br />nreecdent Stafi would recommend approval. <br />Motion Carried <br />9.
