On average during normal growing conditions Public Works is mowing up to 138 acres a week. Staff has researched and tested various 11' mowers that would best fit the needs and operations of the Parks department and has received a state contract quote for two (2) 2025 Toro Groundsmaster 4000-D (T-4) mowers, from MTI Distributing of Brooklyn Center MN for a total of $172,618.26; this includes shipping and the trade in of one (1) 2014 Toro Groundsmaster 4000-D unit #319 for $7,000.00. Strategic Plan Strategy/Goal: Maintain Infrastructure. Financial Impact: The approved 2025 Budget in the Vehicles Equipment Fund, 460- 4360-7030 for $172,000.00 for (2) mowers. NOTE: The Jacobsen Turf Cat Mower unit #314, will be placed on auction this year and is expected to sell for $2,000.00- $3,000.00, this will offset the deficit for the additional funds not included in the budget. Recommendation: Staff recommends the purchase of (2) 2025 Toro Groundsmaster 4000-D(T-4) mowers from MTI Distributing of Brooklyn Center MN, State Contract Pricing #243333, each mower is $87,269.52 for a total of $172,618.26; this includes shipping and trade in of the 2014 Toro Groundsmaster Mower unit #319 for $7,000.00, from Fund 460-4360-7030.
