RESOLUTION NO. 1912 1 <br />CITY OF MOUNDS VIEW <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTX <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING JOINT COOPERATION AuREEMENT BETWLEN <br />RAMSEY COUNTY AND THE CITY OF MOUNDS view ruk THE COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLUCK GRANI <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County has become eliyible for <br />Community Development Hinck Grant entitlement funds as a <br />result of a recent determination that the population of the <br />County excluding St. Paul exceeaa 200,000; and <br />WHEREAS. Ramsey County has determined that it would <br />be appropriate for the County to u„dertake whatever <br />additiona' requirements are in place from the U.S. <br />Department of Housing and urban Uevelupneni. in order t.W <br />fulfill all eligibility requirements for Community Develop- <br />ment Block Grant entitlement funds; and <br />WHF.RF.AS. one of these requirements is to enter into <br />a Joint Cooperation Agreement with all cities in the County <br />excluding St. Paul representing a total population of <br />200,000 or greater; and <br />WHEREAS: Ramsey County has prepared such a Joint <br />Cooperation Agreement in cooperation with interested cities <br />in Ramsey Courty; and <br />kdEREAS, the participation of the City of Hounds View <br />in this program would be of benefit to the City and Ramsov <br />County as a w'iole in that presently unavailable Federal <br />funds would become available for undertaking a variety of <br />protects; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of _he City Council of the <br />City of Mounds View to participate in this prugram by wal of <br />enteriig into the Joint. Cooperation Agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council <br />of the City of Mounds View approves the Joint Cooperation <br />Agreement between the City of Mounds View and Ramsey County <br />for participation in the Community Development Block Grant <br />Proyram; and <br />E <br />
